After that first lightning bolt, I found myself alone in the calm that followed the first explosion; I felt insignificant, like a tiny particle of smoke in the middle of a Universe with no end in sight. Somehow, I, Genoxi, Malhecho of the air, had emerged from the dreamlike realm as a minute being. Air is movement, so I set forth on my journey. Amidst the deliriums of the dreamlike realm, I had several visions: the first was that I would be part of the creation of a new world with beings who would have the ability to transcend their own era. However, I was also tormented by the vision of the appearance of gray giants who would corrupt these beings and lead them to self-annihilation; I was the first of the Malhechos to see these monsters, but not the last.
My greatest question as I moved through the Cosmos was how I would be part of the beginning of a new cycle when I was so small in the face of the vastness surrounding me.
But I knew Toga had a plan.
So, I continued on my path, my movement was light, and I moved quickly, even though I didn’t know what I would encounter.
On my journey to my unknown destination, I had mixed feelings. The visions from the dreamlike state first showed me caressing Ram, the Malhecha of water, transformed into seas, rivers, and lakes. Then, I saw myself running across a planet full of colors, spreading life and refreshing our creations with a gentle breeze. The problem was that the visions always ended with the arrival of those gray creatures that thickened the atmosphere and hindered my progress. I also saw Ram, my beloved, dirty and sticky, smeared with substances unknown to us.
Finally, I perceived a particle the size of myself, though it was not the same as me. It was Ram, who had transformed into a particle of vapor. I tried to explain my worries to her, but she interrupted me and, with a sweet tone, whispered:
—»Don’t worry, my love, we’ll figure it out. We are together, and that’s what matters for now. We don’t have much time, Gou needs us.”
So, we united, forming a single molecule, and began to search for Gou, the Malhecho of fire.
